Submission Guidelines

Poetry:

Send 3-10 of your best poems in a SINGLE .doc, .docx, or .rtf file. DO NOT make a separate submission for each individual poem. Make my job as an editor difficult.

No need to send a cover letter. Just make sure your contact information appears either in your email or in the attachment.

Simultaneous Submissions are accepted, but please let us know as soon as any of your poems have been accepted elsewhere.

No previously published poems. However, poems published on your personal website, blog or social network page are acceptable. If your poem is accepted, The Bakery asks that you remove your poem from your site for at least one month after publication.

Do not query about your submission until two months have passed. If you have not heard from us within two months, please send a note with “Submission Inquiry” in the title to bakerymagazine (at) gmail (dot) com. to remind us about your submission.

Please wait three months after you hear back from us before submitting again.

Upon acceptance the author grants First World Electronic Rights and Archival Rights to The Bakery. The Author retains ownership of the copyright in the work, and all rights not expressly granted in this agreement.
